Corner Chair Makeover

This is one of our favorite finds so far. A unique little corner chair that would look great anywhere. We think it'd be perfect tucked in a corner with a small table, cup of coffee and a good book. Wherever it is, it'll be something people will be sure to notice and love.

Our chair needed a little TLC so after we lightly sanded it, we gave it a new paint job with out favorite blue chalk paint. Next, we covered up the seat (not pictured in the before, but this seat had some seriously sweet mauve fabric) with a fun patterned pillow sham we had laying around. Then, we finished the seat off with some teal edging we picked up at our local craft store. As usual, we roughed the paint up a bit and finished it off with wax. 

As much as we wanted to keep this one, it went to the shop and to a new home during our last sale in Carver. Where would you put this sweet little chair?

In January we became dealers at a shop in Carver, MN, and over these past few months we've been busy keeping up with our inventory for the shop.

We've mainly been focusing on smaller items but now that it's warmer in the Midwest (okay, not really...but warmer weather HAS to be around the corner, right?!) we're starting to shift our focus onto some larger items. We're so excited because we've had the itch for months now to get our hands on some furniture pieces.

 We did, however finally get a chance to re-finish this chair last month. We're in love with its extra wide seat. We painted it a light gray, roughed it up and waxed it, then re-upholstered the seat with some fun new fabric and boom! Shiny new chair.
